Sunrise on the mountain

At dawn, the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola lift takes you comfortably to the top station. From there, in approx. one hour you hike independently to the Wiedersberger Horn summit at 2,127 metres above sea level.

At the top you will experience nature's fascinating spectacle - the sunrise, with a fantastic panoramic view. And if you feel hungry afterwards, we recommend having a mountain top breakfast for a perfect start to the day!

The sunrise tour takes place every second Thursday during the summer holidays.
The exact time of the sunrise tour for 2024 is still to be announced! Subject to change!

• Walking time: approx. 45 - 60 minutes to the peak 
• The gondola lift operates for 45 minutes about half an hour after sunrise for the descent.
• Breakfast: Berggasthof Hornboden or Hornalm. Please book in advance. Breakfast is not included in the price!
• The hike is at your own risk!
• Cancelled in case of bad weather (tickets can be used for another date in the year)!

If you are often on the move in the mountains, then you probably already have your packing list in mind. However, for the sunrise, we recommend that you take a few more items with you in your rucksack. We recommend that you take a second jacket, a headband, a headlamp, sunglasses and maybe even gloves. Because even in summer, it can be quite chilly on the mountain early in the morning.

The sunrise ride with the Wiedersbergerhornbahn in Alpbach takes place every second Thursday in the summer holidays.
